Former Acting Principal of the University of Rwanda’s College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS), Didas Kayihura was the Rector of the Institute for Legal Practice and Development (ILPD) (2016-2017). He served as the dean of The National University of Rwanda’s (UR) faculty of law (2007-2009).
Before Fountain Law Chambers was disbanded to create Fountain Advocates, he served as a partner, the Head of the Business and Commercial Chamber, and a practitioner there from 2008 to 2013. He was one of the organization’s founding partners, and he continues to lead the firm’s Business and Commercial Law Department as a partner.Dr. Kayihura holds a Ph.D. from Utrecht University – The Netherlands, 2015. His Ph.D. research was on “Corporate Governance and the liability of Corporate Directors: The case of Rwanda”; Master’s Degree (LL. M) – International Business Law from Utrecht University (2006); Bachelor’s Degree (LL. B/Hons) from the National University of Rwanda.
