Kenneth Cukier

Deputy Executive Editor, The Economist

Kenneth Cukier is the deputy executive editor of The Economist, following two decades at the paper as a foreign correspondent, technology writer and commentary editor.

He is the coauthor of several books on technology and society, notably, “Learning with Big Data: The Future of Education” and “Big Data,” a New York Times-bestseller, with Viktor Mayer-Schönberger of Oxford. His latest book is “Framers” on AI and mental models, with Viktor and Francis de Véricourt of ESMT Berlin. Previously Kenn was a research fellow at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government and at Oxford’s Saïd Business School. He has served on the boards of directors of International Bridges to Justice and Chatham House, and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
