Arlette is the Academic Vice Rector of the Universidad del Pacífico. She is also a Senior Lecturer in the Academic Department of Economics at the Universidad del Pacífico and member of the Research Centre of this university. She holds a PhD in Economics from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, a Master of Arts in Economics from Georgetown University and a BA in Economics from the Universidad del Pacífico.
She is an international consultant in public management, social policies and participatory budgeting with a gender perspective. In the field of social policies, she has developed various research projects related to the quantitative analysis of the coverage and quality of education and health services, as well as gender economic gaps and the care economy.
