Elvin Lim

Dean, Core Curriculum, Director, Wee Kim Wee Centre, Singapore Management University, Singapore

Elvin Lim is Professor of Political Science at Singapore Management University, where he is also the Dean of the Core Curriculum and Director of the Wee Kim Wee Centre.

He has held faculty positions previously at the National University of Singapore, and Wesleyan University in the United States and he has been invited lecturer at Universities such as John F Kennedy Presidential Library, Harvard University, King’s College London, Yale, and Dartmouth College.

He is member of the American Political Science Association and the National Communication Association, among others; and his research interests revolve around American Politics, Constitutionalism, Federalism, Political Communication and Political Theory.

He has written more than a dozen of journal articles and other publications, and has authored two published books. His research has been cited in Bloomberg, Forbes, The Guardian, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, and other venues.

He has been awarded the Sara Norton Thesis Prize at Oxford, and the Presidency Research Fellowship and the Founder’s Award of the Presidency & Executive Politics Section of the American Political Science Association.

Professor Lim has earned a BA from Christ Church, an MSc in Politics Research from Nuffield College, and a DPhil from Nuffield College, all three of them at Oxford.
