Dr. Ignacio Sanchez is the Rector of the Potificia Universidad Catolica de Chila (UC)and a tenured professor of the Facuty of Medicine. He studied at the Sagrados Corazones de Alameda school in Santiago and is a surgeon and pediatrician from the Catholic University, a specialist in childrent´s respiratory direseas from the University of Manitoba in Canada.
At the School of Medicine, he held the positions of Head of the Department of Pediatrics and Director of the School of Medicine since 2004.
Dr. Sanchez is part of the editorial committee of different publications and has written more than 200 texts in foreign and national scientific journals.
