Juan Romo obtained a Bachelor´s degree in Mathematical Sciences with an Extraordinary Award from the Universidad Complutense of Madrid and a PHD in Mathematics from Texas A&M University. He has been Rector of the Universidad Carlos III in Madrid since March 2015. He has coauthored four books, and published articles in international research journals on the analysis of complex and functional data, big data, resampling, time series etc.
