Professor Bamgbose is a renowned Professor of Criminal Law and Criminology, and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).
She is a pioneer lawyer, holding important leadership positions both within the legal profession and in academia. She was the first female Head of Department in the Faculty of Law of the University of Ibadan. She became the Dean of the Faculty of Law, University of Ibadan, Nigeria, from 2009 until 2014. Since 2015, she has been an Internal Member, Governing Council, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. In 2019, She became the Chairperson of the Nigerian Bar Association Women’s Forum.
