Sandra Goulart Almeida is a tenured professor in literary studies at the Faculty of Letters, where she also works as a researcher. She is educated in Literature at UFMG, has a Master’s degree from the University of North Carolina, a post-doctorate in comparative literature from Columbia University and the Federal University of Santa Catarina.
In addition, she was vice-rector of UFMG in the 2014-2018 term and works in the areas of comparative literature and English-language literature, cultural studies, feminist criticism, and gender studies in the undergraduate and graduate courses of the UFMG Faculty of Letters.
