Dr. Zeynep Gürhan Canlı is the Acting Rector of Koç University and the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs. Dr. Canlı previously served as the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.
After completing undergraduate and graduate studies at Boğaziçi University, Dr. Canlı’s received a doctorate in Marketing from New York University in 1997.
Dr. Canlı’s current research focuses on brand relations, brand extensions, corporate image, corporate crises, corporate social responsibility and consumer behavior. According to a study published in the Journal of Marketing, Dr. Canlı was among the top 50 faculty members who published in the most important scientific marketing journals from all over the world between 1982 and 2006. prof. The article published in 2006 (The Effect of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Activities on Companies With Bad Reputations) was selected as the most influential article of 2006 by the Journal of Consumer Psychology.
